Offhand Designs studios closed June 3rd after our biggest year in business yet! Leave it to Larisa to go out with a bang!
The exciting news:
Larisa’s family is preparing for some international travel while her son Nate is still pre-school age. She is so excited to spend more time with him and her husband and make some lasting adventure memories when the opportunities are abounding! Where to? India, China, South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands and the Ukraine… Her family just spun the dial (her husband’s work requires travel!) and it looks like first stop:  Bangalore, India in the fall!!  She will miss Offhand Designs but plans to keep in touch through blogging about inspiring craftsmanship world wide!
Continuation:
Offhand Designs: a limited but rich offering of Offhand Designs high quality bags, including the Daisy bag, Circular and Switch knitting needle clutches will continue to be offered through our fine stores. Photographs of these bags and clutches will be up-dated and available at OffhandDesigns.com and orders will continue to be welcomed through wholesale@ or Info@ our website address. Several amazing potential buyers of our luxury brand have come forward to express interest and Larisa is currently considering prospective new owners! Keep watch: new Fall 2011 textiles and bag styles bags will be posted in the next couple of weeks.
Sage Luxury, our line of lush handbag components for the couture crafter, will continue to be available through Meunch Yarns, fine knitting shops across the country and directly to the public through the Sage Luxury etsy shop (currently closed for the summer).
Luxury Brand For Sale:
Offhand Designs has always been committed to high quality products, local American craftsmanship and excellent customer service. It is our hope that one of the many business people who have expressed interest in carrying on the Offhand Designs tradition will buy our luxury brand this summer. We are confident that although it will take a unique individual to carry on our tradition, the new owners will perpetuate this commitment to gorgeous, functional American made designs and continue to entrance you! Future Dreams:
Who knows, after a couple years of travel, Larisa may return to full-time handbag design work, but in the meantime she will be gathering inspiration and skills to enrich her design savvy and hopes to share this new knowledge with you through her new blog.
