Ronit April Varga - RAV Jewelry

RAV Jewelry is natural, earthy and looks like it belongs to an ancient era.

Designer Ronit April Varga was born in Israel  and  started to study jewelry making 10 years ago in Israel and the San Francisco Bay Area. Every item she makes for Sage Luxury is a one-of-a-kind affordable treasure; designed and made by with love and care in her Oakland Hills studio.

Ronit’s inspirations are ancient jewelry from lost civilizations and the endless beauty of old time design. In the coin series Ronit uses letters from the ancient Phoenician alphabet, Hebrew letters, and uses the symbols of ancient civilizations.

Ronit uses the Lost World Casting Method in silver and bronze, and handcrafts all of the findings such as clasps, closures and ear wires. She creates each piece from the wax form to the casting to the final polishing stage of design. She is intrigued by the idea of transforming a soft wax material into a solid metal piece of jewelry.  Individual quality gemstones influence and inspire her design work to maximize the impact of each piece of jewelry. Whenever possible, Ronit uses recycled silver.
